Let’s get one thing straight: creativity isn’t reserved for the professionals.
Somewhere along the line, design started to feel like an exclusive club—like unless you studied it or do it for a living, you aren’t qualified to make design decisions. But here’s the truth: you are qualified. In fact, you’re the most qualified person to design your home—because you live in it.
Design isn't about using fancy jargon or following trends. It’s about creating a space that feels like you. A space that supports your lifestyle, reflects your personality, and brings you peace, joy, or inspiration (or all three). It’s about function, beauty, and intention. And that has everything to do with you, and not necessarily a diploma.
When I created my e-book, it was with this exact idea in mind—to give everyday people the tools to take charge of their own design journey. You don’t need to be an architect or interior designer to sketch your ideas, visualise your kitchen, or make confident decisions about what works in your home.
You just need a guide, a little curiosity, and a willingness to try.
So if you’ve ever thought “I’m not creative enough” or “I wouldn’t even know where to start,” let me gently challenge that. You don’t have to know everything. You just have to begin. There’s magic in figuring it out as you go.
Design your kitchen—or bathroom, or laundry, or wardrobe—with heart. That’s what makes it truly yours.
Until next time,
